We had a fantastic time at the Magnetic Hill Zoo on Tuesday.    Thank you to all the parents and high school students who helped with supervision.    We learned alot about many of the mammals, reptiles, amphibians and birds that God has created.   Our zoo projects should be on display outside our classroom by the middle of next week.

The following Monday, June 4, we will be celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee with a garden party.    Students are encouraged to dress up for the occasion.   Cost for this event is $3 per student.   I would appreciate receiving all money by Friday, June 1 so I can do my shopping over the weekend.

I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful long weekend.   Please pray that we have continued nice weather for our zoo adventure on Tuesday, May 22.   All students and parents who have paid are reminded to meet at the school at 7:30am.   Everyone should bring their own lunch, extra water and sunscreen.   We plan to arrive back at the school by 5pm.   We will be doing an in-school zoo project this week and still need small black meat trays.   If anyone has a BBQ this weekend, please send your clean, small, black meat tray to school on Wednesday.

Our show and tell theme this week is your favorite bed time story.   Students should bring their favorite book and be prepared to tell the story in three or four sentences.   Please read the May 21-25 schedule for show and tell dates, as well as the test schedule.

Please pray for the 2012 Jamaica Missions team.   They flew out of Moncton this morning and plan to return on Sunday, May 27.   The team asked for the following specific prayer requests:

-smooth transition through customs

-safety in travel/driving on Jamaican roads

-dealing with heat and humidity

-responsive hearts to the Gospel (souls saved)

-students to be able to work outside their comfort zones

-growth of each team member’s relationship with Christ

May 14-18 Schedule

First of all, please let me wish all the mothers a Happy Mother’s Day.   I appreciate your help and support as we prepare your child for adulthood together.   I hope that everyone has a very restful day on Sunday.   Be sure to ask your child about the surprise he/she made for you in school.   You will be very touched by their thoughtfulness.
