Earth Day Project – Recyclebot

Our class will be celebrating Earth Day on April 22.   In our class we will be doing many activities including conservation, recycling and environmental protection.   I have a number of activities planned.EarthDay[1]

On Monday, April 22, we will be having a “litterless lunch”.    Children are encouraged to pack a lunch using only reusable containers.    This will take some planning and a lot of help from their parents.   We hope to have a light carbon footprint.

Also, on April 22, students have an at home Earth Day project that is due.   Each child is being encouraged to make a Recyclebot from recycled materials.   Since this project is about helping our environment, I will not be sending a paper copy of the instructions.    Please click, read and review the specific requirements: Recyclebot Project for Earth Day

If you have any questions, please contact me.   Have fun and be creative.

April 8-12 Schedule

Next week is a regular five day week.   We will be having show and tell on Tuesday afternoon.   This week’s theme is Signs of Spring.   Please have your child choose one item to share with the class.   Each child should prepare two or three sentences about their special item.   Have your child pack the item on Monday night in preparation for Tuesday afternoon.   Everyone will be telling and this is much easier when he/she remembers the item.   Thanks for your help.
