November 25th -29th

Another busy week is upon us.  The next few weeks will go by fast as there is so much going on with Christmas play and all the other events that go along with this time of year.  Thank you to everyone who brought in a Shoe box for Operation Christmas child.  The school collected 97 boxes to be sent to children in need!

Last quarter in our Bible class grade one and two explored God’s creation.  They learned how God created the earth and created us in His Image.  This quarter we will be learning about how God keeps his promises.  We will learn about Moses, Noah and Abraham and how God kept his promises through these men.   Students this quarter will also be exploring God’s word through memorizing scripture.  This week we will start with Ephesians 6: 1-3.

Just a reminder that the winter weather is upon us.  Please remember to send hat, mitts, and snow pants with your child each day so they will be warm enough when they are out on the playground.  Also, please remember that if the weather is stormy, we will follow announcements for the English Language School Board for cancellations or delays. We also follow the Colonel Gray, Charlottetown Rural, and Bluefield families of schools.

We are excited to be able to be starting reading buddies this week with grade 3 &4!  Reading buddies will take place every second Wednesday afternoon.

Christmas Play Practice:

All the elementary is working hard to get ready for the Christmas play presentation on December 13th.  Thank you for working with you child on their lines. Below are links to the songs that we will be singing.  The links will allow students to practice the songs at home and get to know the words.
