As we are coming to a close of 2013 please keep a few things in mind.

  • Please continue to read with your child each night.  Your child should be reading their homework pages aloud to an adult each night.
  • Spelling homework:  Please make sure your child’s spelling homework is signed each night.  As well, please attach any extra sheets to the back of the spelling page.  I will continue to include alternative ways to study spelling words with each list.  However, if you find that your child benefits from a more traditional way of studying their words (eg.  words are asked orally, or words are writing out each night)  please write on the sheet the method of study you are using or attach the written words to the spelling sheet.
  • In order to keep you better informed about your child’s progress, each week your child will be sent home with a test folder.  The folder will include the tests written the previous week.  Please look at the tests and sign the sheet in the folder.  Please return all tests with the folder.
