Hello Parents,
What a great week we had last week with Science and Technology week. Students took part in science learning stations led by the high school students. On Thursday students created posters for a poster contest for a chance to see Chris Hadfield. On Friday we finished off the week by having students dress up like a scientist and in science class grade one and two made their own thermometers. Grade Three and Four made lemonade on Friday and they popped over to share some. Here are a few pictures from the week:
This week is a very short week as there is No School on Thursday October 30th and Friday, October 31st for the students. Teacher will be attending the annual ACSI conference those days.
Because it is such a short week there will be no testing this week. Students will be assigned the next spelling list for homework(List # 4 for gr. 1 and List # 6 for Gr. 2) but will not be tested until Thursday Nov. 6th.
Fall Party:
On Wednesday afternoon we will be travelling to the Laird farm for our Fall party. A permission slip was sent home in your child’s agenda last week. Please make sure the slip is returned by Tuesday. Please let me know if you are able to drive for this trip.
Enjoy your week,
Mrs. Barton
