November 16th – 20th

Hello Parents,

Thank you to all of those who came out to parent teacher interviews this past week.  We appreciate your support in your child’s education.  If you were unable to make it to parent teacher interviews and you would still wish to meet, please email me at jbarton@gcspei.ca to set up an appointment.

Pajama Day in grade one and two on Monday:

Thursday — Phonics test and Penmanship test

Friday — Spelling test (List # 6 for grade one, list # 8 for grade two)

Operation Christmas Child boxes:

A small shoebox can have a big impact. What goes into the box is fun, but what comes out of it is eternal. Be a part of changing children’s lives all over the world in Jesus’ name through the power of a simple gift with Operation Christmas Child.  Boxes were sent home with your child on Thursday.  If you fill a box, please return to the school by Nov. 18th.  If you are unable to fill a complete box on your own, but still wish to contribute, individual items can be sent in and Grade 5/6 will pack it in a box. Please bring those items on Monday or Tuesday of this week.

Last year GCS collected over 200 shoeboxes. In Canada alone, there were over 70,000 shoeboxes.  Make sure you check out: http://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child and help us reach children who need to hear about the love of Jesus.
