April 1-5 Schedule

Happy Easter ME[1]I hope that everyone enjoys their long weekend and that you find some time as a family to remember the real reason for the season.   Please remember that there is no school on Monday, April 1.   Classes will resume next Tuesday, April 2.

Show and tell this week will be on Tuesday afternoon.   Our theme this week is The Best Breakfast.   Please have your child draw and color a picture of his/her favorite breakfast.    Each child will be participating, so please help your child prepare two or three sentences to share about his/her picture.   “Telling” is easier when your child has an item to show his/her classmates.

back_to_school_038[1]Welcome back from March Break.  I trust that both parents and students are ready to finish the last three months of school well.   Homework will resume this week.   Thank you for your continued support in this area.   Nightly reading with your child is helping him/her to continue to make daily progress in the lifelong skill of reading.

Show and tell this week will be on Tuesday afternoon.   Our theme this week is definite shapes.   Shapes include squares, rectangles, circles, hexagons, etc.    Each child will be participating, so please help your child prepare two or three sentences to share with the class and then pack their one item on Monday night.   Each child should be able to identify the shape of their item.  “Telling” is easier when your child has an item to show his/her classmates.

Tuesday’s show and tell theme is one tiny item per child.    Each child will be participating, so please help your child prepare two or three sentences to share with the class and then pack the item on Monday night.   “Telling” is easier when your child has an item to show his/her classmates.

March 4-8 Schedule

We had a great, full week of school.   Skating on Friday afternoon was definitely the highlight for the children.   Thank you to everyone who helped with transportation, tying skates and supervising.   Also, thank you to everyone for arranging your schedule to pick up your children at the rink.

Next week is another full five day week of school.    Tuesday’s show and tell theme is one shiny item per child.    Each child will be participating, so please help your child prepare two or three sentences to share with the class and then pack the item on Monday night.   “Telling” is easier when your child has an item to show his/her classmates.

On Thursday at lunch time, the grades five and six class will be selling hot dogs($1.50 each) and cupcakes ($1 each).   Orders and money must be received on Wednesday, so Miss Farrer and her helpers will be adequately prepared.
