The final week of school

Hello Parents,

It’s very hard to believe that this is the last week of school!.  My first year of teaching has gone by very quickly.

Just a reminder that there will be no milk this week.

Tomorrow, weather permitting is our trip to Victoria Park.  We are taking the city bus down to the park.  Please have your child at school no later than 8:45.  We will be leaving the school right at 9:00 to catch the 9:20 bus.  Mrs. Bissett and I will be walking with the students down to the Econo Lodge to catch the bus.  The weather looks like there might be some light rain in the morning.  I am still planning on going unless it is pouring rain.  In that case we will postpone the trip to Tuesday.   We will be going tomorrow if there is only a little bit of rain.  It’s suppose to clear up later in the morning.  Please make sure your child has a rain jacket and boots with them.

Family Fun Day

Family fun day at Sandspit:   June 19th. Families of our school have been given the opportunity to visit Sandspit for the day at a reduced rate.  The park opens at 10:00am.  This is not a teacher run event.  All school families are welcome to bring and supervise their children.  Some families pack a picnic lunch with them, while others bring money and enjoy the food available for purchase.

 School Closing

June 20th at 9:30am will be the school closing.   All are welcome to come and celebrate the great year that we have had this year!  Students will be given their report cards following the school closing ceremonies.

This past week in grade one and two we had a couple of students choose to bring in things for their “super student” prize.  Ceciley choose to play music for the class.  Here are a few pictures of Ceciley playing her instrument for the class.  She did a great job!

Ava chose to do a show and tell.  She brought in some of her art work to show her class.  Ava has such artistic talent.  She told us how all her drawings are done just by looking at a picture and then she draws it.  Great job Ava! Such a talented young lady : -)

On Friday the students made Father’s Day cards.  Again I got to see what a talented group of students I have in grade one and two! God has gifted each of them with different talents and abilities.
